AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION FRIENDS AND FAMILY CPR/AED FOR ALL AGES COURSE

This course is for community organizations and faith-based organizations who want to provide a place for staff and members to learn CPR and AED skills for personal use.

This course is for people who do not need a course completion card for a job or other requirements. This course is ideal for community groups, parents, grandparents, caregivers, school groups and school students, and others interested in learning how to save a life. There is no test in this class.

Course content summary:

  • Describe and practice Adult Hands-Only CPR and AED use.
  • Describe and practice Adult CPR with breaths using the mouth-to-mouth technique or a CPR mask (optional).
  • Describe signs of mild and severe airway blockages.  Practice how to help a choking adult, child and Infant.
  • Describe and practice Child CPR and AED use.
  • Describe and practice Infant CPR and AED use.

Length of course:  2.5 hours.

NOT a credentialed course:  This is not the CPR/AED training course students should take if they need it for employment or to meet other regulatory or statutory requirements or obligations.  This course is for those who simply want to know CPR/AED skills so they can help family and friends.

Cost:

  • Onsite Group rates for organizations training 8 students or less: minimum flat rate $376.00.
  • Onsite Group rates for organizations training 9-20 students: $47.00 per student.
  • Onsite Group rates for organizations training 21 or more students: $44.00 per student.
  • Non-Group rate for individuals joining a scheduled class: $47.00.
